As a seller, the home inspection can be one of the more stressful periods of the escrow process. After all, if the home inspector finds major damage in the home, the sale agreement can fall through, with the buyer entitled to the return of any earnest money and the seller back to square one — but this time, with costly fixes to be made before the home can be placed back on the market. For this reason, it can be to sellers' benefit to make some repairs before the inspector ever arrives, if only to minimize the possibility that an inspector's report will be the difference between a closed sale and a failed deal.

Ukrainian Village is one of Chicago's most historic neighborhoods. Located northwest of the Loop in the West Town community, it derives its name from the large population of Ukrainian immigrants who first settled here in the 1890s. Originally a farming community, it has transformed into a vibrant, trendy, surprising neighborhood rich in history and offering a wealth of cultural, food, and arts destinations for both locals and visitors. About 75 percent of the neighborhood is designated as a Chicago landmark district, meaning that its deep roots and history are among the most well-preserved in all of Chicagoland. Neighboring Noble Square similarly found its start as an immigrant destination for Polish newcomers, and has evolved over time into a primarily residential area, with the busy avenues of Chicago and Grand offering residents and visitors alike a variety of dining, shopping and nightlife options.

By midcentury, the village was a thriving community, driven largely by the existence of "Frankfort Station," a key railroad depot.

Nowadays, Frankfort is considered one of the nicest places to live in Illinois. A quiet suburban community with excellent schools, spacious parks, and easy access to all that Chicago has to offer. it's no wonder that so many seek to relocate to this picturesque town. Frankfort's Fall Festival has been named the country's No. 5 Classic and Contemporary Craft Show, with nearly 300 Artisan Booths, a Food Court, and a carnival and parade that is fun for kids and their parents alike.
